The Baronesse Barley that we grow has amazing flavor and performs excellently when malted.

Barley is a cereal grain that can be used in soups, stews, breads and other health foods. Barley has a rich, nutlike flavor and an appealing chewy, pasta like consistency. Barley is a great source of fiber and other important nutrients.

Because the hull is still on the grain, Joseph's Grainery Barley must be soaked overnight and then rinsed thoroughly before cooking. After rinsing, add one part barley to three and a half parts boiling water. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender (may take up to 90 minutes).
